History of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu:  In 1915, Esai Maeda Koma (a Jigoro Kano Judo student) brought Judo from Japan to Brazil. Maeda trained Carlos Gracie. Carlos altered and adapted Judo to fit his family's genectic strengths and weaknesses, thus Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was born. First adopted by the US Army Rangers, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is now the preferred fighting style for all branches of the US Armed Forces.

History of Judo:  Was developed in 1882 in Japan by Jigoro Kano.  Judo was the foundation that Japanese Jiu-jitsu was developed from. In 1910, Judo was recognized as an Olympic sport and participated in the 5th Olympiad in Stockholm, Sweden.  During WWII, Judo was taught as a combat skill to Allied special forces.
 
 Muay Thai Boxing
- Stand up striking
- Training punches, elbows, knees and kicks
- Focus on willingness to fight, not strength/weight
- Beneficial for increasing hand and foot speed, building endurance, and increasing explosiveness
History of Muay Thai Boxing:  From 1238-1377 it was the highly esteemed martial art for nobility in Thailand.  Was developed and used as a weaponless self-defense in combat situations, mandatory for the King's elite guards.  In 1920, Bangkok, Muay Thai Boxing became an organized sport and is now the national sport of Thailand, practiced round the world.
 
Submission Wrestling

History of MMA;  First became popular in the United States in 1993.  The UFC, Pride Fighting Championships and King of the Cage were among the first MMA event organizers.
